I've seen that switchback in the first pic a few times on STW. Is it a famous obstacle or something? Difficult? Was in your place yesterday Gav, I convinced them they are paying you too much with all these holidays in exotic places innit!

Went with Switchbacks BJ. Absolutely fantastic, Michael is a top bloke, if I go again, which I think I will, it will definitley be with them.
Devs, that's the "Impossible Switchback". Rode it first time and don't know what all the fuss is about.... It's bloody steep though and saw plenty folk get it wrong Wink

It got the name a long time ago when was harder. In 2003 I pushed my bike (Full on XC bike with 63mm world cup Sids - what was I thinking) down it as did all the other guests and the guides said that they rarely rode it.

Hystorectomizer, 6" only and.......in fact I'm the same as John - They're all brilliant Very Happy .

I wanna go back. Crying or Very sad

Did you ride German Box while you were out there? And no mention on Don Juan? I'm shocked Wink

I have some good video of German Box being ridden at silly speed. One of the guides is sideways twice before binning it (Tony). Think the trail lasted about 3 minutes if that. Awesome trail.

Nice pics Gav, they bring back some good memories! Went in Feb 2005 shortly after the heaviest dump of snow in the area for 30 years, typical....most the trails above Bubion were covered in snow and ice which made things a little interesting Laughing

Yeah it is, I think. They've torn up the road over the pass and put in some mahoosive boulders to stop vehicular access now though.
