Fochabers gala race

Had a fun morning out at the Fochabers Gala bike race. 1 lap of the red route. Managed to come in 2nd. So lost my crown.

My stepson Ryan (downhillalltheway) won as the 1st junior. Euan (have faith) was robbed by a puncture and came in just about riding on his back rim. Heres a few pics of the finish and grand award ceremony complete with gala queen and princesses.

Had a wee blast up the old Wolftrax today with Matt. Good weather surprisingly. Came off during a photo session, trying too hard I think to show off. The only time I have never worn body armor too and I come off.

Well its taken me sometime to finally get round to finishing it but just built mi self a semi retro steel hardtail like i used to race. Its gonna be a general use bike that will get me to work and hit the less techy trails.

Had my 1st ride on it today on road and through the woods and i am chuffed with the ride.

Its an great alternative to my full suss comencal and half the fun has been building it.

Heres some pics... happend today

it happen at the end of 1mw i missed the bit over the ditch (onto the last fire road) and landed front wheel first onto the far side of the slope all on the front wheel (i was about right angles to the slope LOL) yeah, so that kinda ended the day! it is about a 6-7 foot drop...
